2010年代の Pop Punk ブームで重要な役割を果たしたボストンの Pop Punk バンド A Loss For Words のデビュー作品。リリース15周年を記念して、ボーナストラックを収録した特別版がレコードとして地元の Counter Intuitive Records よりリリースされました。
2010年代の Pop Punk と一括りにされる他のバンドたちと比較して、A Loss For Words がいかに特殊なアプローチだったかが改めて分かる初期作品。Vanna や Therefore I Am といった Metalcore / Post Hardcore バンドと親交が深かったからこそ確立されたオリジナリティなんだなと。
正直、今から新たに A Loss For Words を聴く人には、この後にリリースされたアルバム "The Kids Can't Lose" の方が絶対におすすめ。A Loss For Words が青春の1ページのどこかにいるって人に買ってもらえたらなと思っての入荷です。MySpace や Mediafire でディグっていた音源がフィジカルで手に入るなんて素敵な時代ですね。
